Our Assessment Process

The CP Journal uses a structured approach to complete our capability assessments.

  • Document Review: We start with a thorough analysis of existing plans, reports, and policies relevant to the capability being assessed. We utilize AI tools to analyze open-source (non-client-provided) case studies and after-action reviews from similar organizations nationwide, identifying insights and lessons learned that can support the assessment.

  • Stakeholder Interviews: Targeted one-on-one or small-group interviews with key stakeholders to gain deeper insights. An optional organization-wide survey is available to provide broader insights and to further validate findings.

  • Final Report and Leadership Briefing: We deliver a concise, actionable report clearly outlining capability strengths, gaps, risks, and recommendations. We facilitate a leadership presentation to review findings, ensure clarity, and guide future planning.
