The final step of the Kickoff Phase is the Project Manager’s briefing to the Project Executive. This isn’t the deliverable kickoff or the point when goals are set. Instead, it’s where the PM lays out the details from the project management plan developed during this phase:

  • What the plan is and how they will accomplish the goals

  • Who they’ll be working with

  • What resources they need to execute their plan

  • When updates will be provided along the way

This meeting creates alignment, secures approval, and sets the tone for the project’s execution.
